Forms Management Gets a Facelift
Good management of your inventory can save you time, energy and most importantly, money. The Inventory module in Puridiom helps you: 1) know when to reorder inventory items; 2) accurately take a physical inventory; and, 3) figure out how much you are using of a particular inventory item so you can only order and have on hand what is needed.
The Inventory Control Module has been updated to increase efficiency and add new features:
Three new services have been created to move repetitive data processing out of the base system. You can use any scheduling program, such as NT Scheduler, to determine when the service should be run. As a result, you'll experience faster response times from your system.
The Automatic Backorder Notification service can be scheduled at your convenience to process backorder notifications automatically. Users will only need to fill the pick ticket!
The Automatic Item Usage Recalculation service eliminates the need for users to open each item separately to recalculate item usage.
The Automatic Item Replenishment service can be used to locate inventory items in need of re-ordering. The service creates an Incomplete Purchase Order for each item below minimum quantity. Your Buyer will only need to complete the order and send it to the vendor.
You can add inventory item specifications to your Purchase Orders. This helps your vendor to provide you with items tailored to your detailed specifications.
The functionality of Item Usage Recalculation has been expanded to calculate item usage for a 24 month period. Use this feature to examine trends in item usage over a two year period.
The Inventory Form tab has been updated to include more data entry options and logical data groupings for classifying your document inventory.
Increased Item Access Security:
You are now able to limit users' access to inventory items based on an item's State and Product Code. This feature restricts item selection retrievals to items only valid to the user, and it decreases data retrieval time.
You can now group your inventory into separate categories by assigning the items to catalogs. This helps the end-user with ease of use as well as decreased database retrieval times. End-Users will no longer need to filter through thousands of items to find that one correct item. They can now select the category of the item and select the appropriate item. You can also have greater security by determining which users are permitted to use which catalogs.
