Puridiom offers receiving capabilities to accommodate a variety of ways in which organizations receive items. Puridiom’s receipt by package capabilities can be utilized if items are shipped to a mailroom. This is a general receipt notification and gets the receiving process going by typically being assigned to the mailroom department. The mailroom clerk will only record general information about the packages received, then forward them onto the responsible person for final receipt acceptance.
Puridiom also offers a one step receiving process in which a notification will be automatically sent via email to the end-user when items are expected to be delivered. Once the items are received, the end-user will create a receipt against a selected order, acknowledging the quantity they received for each item.
Additionally, Puridiom allows for items to be received through a central receiving area or warehouse. This process allows receivers to accept and indicate the quantities received for all items against an order which will later be delivered to the individuals who requested the items.
Adjustments and returns can be tracked within Puridiom’s receiving module as well. Adjustments can be made to any finalized receipt to make any corrections; for example to correct quantity received for any miscounted items. Receipt of returns can be made to update actual received quantity anytime items are being returned to suppliers.
All receipt transactions will update procurement document statuses accordingly and an audit trail will be kept.
Puridiom also has the functionality to create and scan Bar Code Labels for ease of receiving. Bar Code Tags associated with items can be generated when creating the requisition or order. Those tags can be scanned in receiving and used for inventory management.
When an inventory item is received, the appropriate amount is updated in the inventory record for the location into which the item is being received.
Puridiom offers an Asset Management module to compliment the main aspects of your purchasing system. During the receiving of an asset item, you have the opportunity to enter basic asset information related to the item you are receiving.
